10/9/2017 The wood was finally decided! We wanted hickory from the beginning and have visited many stores, seen so many samples for more than two months. Originally we wanted to go with the solid wood flooring and found one we like and then our contractor came, checked the base wood (as you can see the picture below it isn’t plywood so too weak to put nails) and told us that we should go with engineered wood flooring… So needed to start over and it took us for a long long time to decide. The price was originally $10 sf but we got $3 discount ! Now waiting for a quote from our contractor. We also started painting the walls. What do you think of the color?
2017年10月9日 先日やっとフローリングが決めました。木の種類は始めからヒッコリーがよくて、色んな店へ足を運んで30種類ぐらいのサンプルをみてようやく1つに絞ったら、床屋（とこやじゃなくて、床のお店）の担当者のマリオさんが家の状態を見に来て、せっかく選んだみたいだけれど、この板はダメだと。。。ベースの板との愛称が悪かった。で、結局また一から選びなおし、ようやく写真のこれに決めました。幅が太めで、明るめ、木目がユニーク（ヒッコリーの特徴）でとても気に入っています。こちらも見積もり待ちです。また見積もり。。。床が決まったので、今日から壁の本塗りを始めました。ダイニングは薄めの緑です。どうかな？
