12/7/2017 The plantation shutters have been installed! There are other choices like curtains, blinds and so on but we decided to go with this one! Rich correctly measured the 9 windows in the house, placed the order and all of them fit perfectly! 1st, assemble the frames and screw them in to the wall then hang the shutters on the hinges. He quickly mastered the procedure and finished the project in a day!
The propane gas stove is working now. It is warm and gives us cozy feeling:)
2017年12月7日 先日ブラインドが届きました。家中の窓枠の寸法を測って注文しておいたものです。カーテンや他のブラインドも色々検討した結果、プランテーション・シャッターに決めました。遮光性も十分。開閉も簡単で、枠ごと開けて窓掃除もできます。オーダーメイドなので採寸が全てですが、これはザ・理系男子のリッチの得意分野。今回も9窓分狂い無く測っていて完璧でした。アメリカはメートル法ではなくて、この場合インチとフット。私は苦手でこんな重要な任務はとてもできません。。
ガス暖炉も配線が終わって使えるようになりました。暖かい！
