12/23/2017 Christmas is just around the corner!! Our kitchen is fully functioning now. There is less storage space in the kitchen compare to our previous house so I can’t simply open all the boxes and put stuff into the cabinets… But I took out most of the things we need so we should just get used to our new kitchen! We have ordered the dining table, chairs and bar stools but they won’t come until February… So we are using this dining table & chairs we got from Rich’s brother and the bar stools came with the house.
Since we unpacked most of the stuff, we invited our friends for the very first time and had a mini Christmas diner yesterday. We are heading out to Connecticut to attend Christmas parties from tomorrow. Happy Holidays to all!
2017年12月23日 クリスマスイヴイヴ。台所もようやく片付きました。前回の家より収納棚（とくに引き出しが）が少ないので、食器や調理器具を厳選せねばならず、まだまだ開かずのダンボールが残っています。何をどこにしまえば使い勝手がいいのかもまだよく分からないので、とりあえずしまうだけしまって後々使いやすいように配置換えをしようと思います。ちなみに注文しているダイニングエリアの家具が2月まで届かないので、バーの椅子は前の家主が置いていったもの、テーブルは先日義兄の家よりもらってきたもので代用しています。
居住エリアは何とか片付いたので、昨日さっそく友人を招き、この家で初のホームパーティをしました。新しいオーブンでは初挑戦のローストチキンも美味しくできて一安心。明日からクリスマス休暇でコネティカット州へ行ってきます！
