4/10/2020 Since we’ve practiced social distancing, we decided to take advantage of that and did our Spring cleaning. There were a lot of dead trees, branches and 3 completely dead Christmas trees with price tags on them… What is going on!? These are not ours and we have no idea where they were from. Anyway we made a burn pile and said good bye to them. Also, we have been getting a lot rain in Spring here and that damaged our grass. It’s been saturated and can’t hold water anymore so we bought some top soil and patched up and sow a lot of grass seed. Though you don’t see the change much, we feel accomplished using our bodies to do some work:)
2020年4月10日 アメリカでは春になると大掃除をする習慣があって、日本で言うところの年末大掃除のような感じです。家の中はともかく、自宅待機生活を活用して庭の掃除をすることにしました。枯れ木、枝、前の家主の木製ガラクタ、誰かが捨てていった何時のだか分からないクリスマスツリー!?などがそこらじゅうに転がっているので、拾い集めて燃やしました。それと平行して、春に降り続く雨の影響で芝がぬかるんで飽和状態になってしまったので、土地が下がって水溜りが出来やすくなってしまった場所に土を撒きました。これは重労働（汗）庭の見た目が変わったかは別として、いつかやりたいと思っていたことができて気分的にはスッキリです。

リッチ君が良いものあるよっと出してきたのは「トンボ」！野球部が使うイメージのソレ（笑）これ日本語でトンボって言うんだよと言ったら「？？？」って顔になったあと、「あっそう」とスルーされました。
We did it. We put some soil on the burn pile and it rained the next day as predicted. Perfect!
沢山集めたものがキレイに燃えました。焼け跡にも土を被せ、翌日は予報どおりの雨。
