11/12/2021 I can’t believe it’s already in mid November. It’s getting cold here in Hudson Valley day by day and the morning temp has been constantly below 32F. That means fig trees are ready to hibernate. We have 3 trees and all of them are in the pots. We always have fig trees at home ever since I started living in the U.S. about 8 years ago, we’ve never learned how to grow figs properly. We are planning to plant them in the ground next spring so we decided to get a book and study a bit.
We completed our move from California to New York in late summer in 2017 and bought a house in the Hudson Valley, about 90 minutes north of Manhattan. We have had several renovations to complete before moving in. We keep working on some house projects, enjoy gardening in summer and woodworking projects in/around our sweet home. And I love small birds❤︎
The house detail:
Built in 1996, Raised Ranch style
3 beds 2.5 baths 1,900 sqft, 2 car garage, 0.69 acres of lot
