4/9/2018 Gardening update! We are slowly getting ready for the garden. We purchased garden soil yesterday and put it in the raised garden bed. The plants are still kept in the house and growing happily:) I guess we still have to wait 1 to 2 weeks before transplanting them into the garden. Next, Rich is planning to build a fence around the boxes.
2018年4月9日 まだまだ寒い日が続いていて、先週は2度も雪が降りました。さて、ガーデニングの進捗報告です。外のプランター用に土を買って来て堆肥と混ぜました。外はまだ霜がおりるので苗はまだ家の中で育てていて、植え替えまでに１～2週間ぐらいかかりそうです。外に出す前にリッチ君がこの箱を囲むフェンスを設置する予定です。どんなフェンスにするのか聞いたら「今デザイン中だよ」という答えが返ってきました（笑）
A Downy Woodpecker(male). He was shy at the beginning and it was hard to take a picture. Now he is comfortable hanging out here.
雄のキツツキ。エサ箱を置いたばかりのころは人の気配を感じると逃げていたけれど、もう慣れたみたいで写真を撮れるようになりました。鳥は動くから写真を撮るのがすごく難しい。
